As it should be, it's a Sue Menhart Weekend - all Sue, all the time.
Indeed, the estimable singer is celebrating the release of her new soul EP, "Forever," and she won't be hard to find. On Friday, Menhart appears in a free lunchtime concert on the Parade Plaza in New London - the latest in the Previews of Parade series.
For the release party proper, catch Menhart and Friends at Burke's Tavern in Niantic. There will be live music, a light buffet, and "Forever," the second release from the local Good Sponge label, will be available for purchase at a discounted price.
The official release date is June 21, at which time you can find "Forever" at June 21 at iTunes, Amazon MP3, CD Baby, and of course at suemenhart.com store. Also, it will be available locally at The Telegraph in New London and The Mystic Disc in Mystic.
