New Britain — Fourth-seeded Watertown broke the game open with a 10-0 run in the third quarter cruised to a 69-47 victory over No. 9 Ledyard in a CIAC Class M boys' basketball semifinal game Wednesday night at Central Connecticut State University.
The Colonels trailed 36-33 when Watertown went on its run top open a 46-33 lead with 2:37 left in the third quarter and Ledyard never really challenged again.
Darnay Gray scored 25 points for Ledyard, including all 16 of the Colonels' points in the first quarter.
