Louisville, Ky. — The UConn men's basketball had its stay at the NCAA tournament cut short, losing to Iowa State 77-64 in a second-round game Thursday night.
Iowa State, which had a 16-0 run at one point in the first half, had its largest lead at 36-14 and led 42-32 at halftime. UConn was the first defending national champion to lose in its first game the following year since UCLA, which lost to Princeton in 1996.
Shabazz Napier scored 22 points with seven assists and Jeremy Lamb scored 19 for UConn.
What surprised you more, that New London did not make the Class LL basketball final or that Waterford made it to the Class M final?
