UConn junior Alex Oriakhi said that he planned to think about his future after last week's NCAA tournament loss to Iowa State.

It looks like Oriakhi has made a decision.

Alex Oriakhi Sr. told the Connecticut Post today that his son will transfer.

If UConn is banned from post-season play next season, he'd be allowed to transfer without sitting out a year.

It's no secret that Oriakhi was unhappy about his playing time. He expected to play a prominent role after helping the Huskies win a national championship. But he averaged just 21.5 minutes per game, down from 29.1 minutes during his sophomore season.

Oriakhi averaged 6.7 points and 4.8 rebounds compared to 9.6 points and 8.7 rebounds in 2010-11.
