Three cheers for a Niantic train station

 JC Reindl  reports here that a proposal to restore a train station in Niantic is under study.

Maybe Governor Malloy will be able to make himself the train governor. Jodi Rell sure wasn't.

A lot of credit for the progress in Niantic apparently goes to the town's state rep.

The DOT initiated the project feasibility study at the request of the General Assembly's Transportation Committee, of which state Rep. Ed Jutila, D-East Lyme, is a member.

"Overall, I think it's a good blue print for what we need to do to go forward with this," said Jutila, who saw to the request.
