Norwich — Two people were hospitalized early this morning with serious injuries after the car they were riding in crashed into a home at 603 N. Main St.

The car’s four passengers had to be extricated by members of the city’s fire department, police said. Two were transported to the William W. Backus Hospital. Police did not name the passengers.

No one living in the home was injured and police said a building inspector had determined the residence to be structurally sound.

Anyone with further information is asked to call Sgt. Michael Belair or Officer Thomas Lazzaro at 860-886-5561.
