Waterford — Police arrested a local man on a warrant Wednesday after he allegedly committed a series of burglaries at private residences in town.
Kyle Fedus, 24, of 15 Pepperbox Ave., was charged with first-degree larceny, second-degree larceny, fifth-degree larceny, third-degree burglary and second-degree failure to appear in court.
Police said Fedus fled the state after committing several burglaries throughout the town. Police then obtained a warrant for his arrest and he was extradited back to the town.
News reports also allege that Fedus was involved in at least one other robbery in Massachusetts. He was also arrested in 2006 as a Waterford High School student after allegedly writing a note that he would shoot fellow students. He was charged at the time with first-degree threatening, second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace.
For the more recent charges, Fedus was held on four separate bonds totaling more than $110,000. He was scheduled to appear today in New London Superior Court.
