Waterford – Police arrested a Rhode Island man Monday and charged him with secretly recording people as they used fitting rooms last month at the Crystal Mall.
Police said Christopher Gribble, 40, of Bradford, R.I., allegedly attached a small camera or digital recording device similar to an iPod on the top of his sneaker, then stuck his foot under the fitting room doors on Sept. 8 and again on Sept. 29.
Earlier this month, police released photos of the suspect which led to a positive identification of Gribble and a warrant for his arrest. Gribble is charged with two counts of voyeurism, two counts of disorderly conduct and risk of injury to a minor. Gribble posted a cash bond, police said, and is scheduled to appear Oct. 29 in New London Superior Court.
