New London — The U.S. Coast Guard Academy will host its annual Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols Dec. 5.
The service, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m. and serves as the academy’s kickoff to the holiday season. It includes performances by harpist Megan Sesma of the U.S. Coast Guard Band, the Cadet Glee Club and Cadet handbell Choir.
The lighting of the academy Christmas tree will immediately follow the service at the campus, 15 Mohegan Ave.
The 'grinding' dance style has sparked controversy at East Lyme High School. Should this form of dancing be banned at school dances?
