The Day's Fall All-Area teams to begin appearing Tuesday

The Day's eight Fall All-Area athletes of the year took part in a portrait session this week with photographer Tim Martin, the results of which readers will see starting Tuesday when the newspaper's high school all-star teams begin to appear.

In each sport, The Day will name a Player of the Year, as well as an all-star team voted on by the paper's sports staff.

The schedule for publication of the teams is as follows: Tuesday, field hockey; Wednesday, volleyball; Thursday, boys' cross country; Friday, girls' cross country; Saturday, swimming; Sunday, Dec. 23, boys' soccer; Monday, Dec. 24, girls' soccer; and Tuesday, Dec. 25, football.

Thanks go to the athletes for their participation in our photo sessions, as well as for their standout performances this fall which gave us so much to write about.
