Killing people is wrong. As most religions preach to us, it is also immoral. Take the example of the military returning from war. The amount of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and suicides should be a wake up call to all of us.

Trying to kill a human being with small arms is a mistake, as most of the times you will not kill. That is why gun manufacturers made semi-automatic and more powerful weapons. It is also the reason those trained to combat mass killers wear armor and carry automatic weapons.

There will be more people killed by accidental shootings, if as the NRA says, more people should have guns. More people will die, from guns, than those killed by auto accidents. With the NRA endorsing carrying guns, they should be financially responsible for all inevitable accidents.
