Youth scholarship money available

Up to $1,400 in scholarship money is available to a local student who qualifies for Simon Youth Foundation funding made available by the owner of Crystal Mall.

But you'd better hurry ... the deadline to apply is Jan. 11.

The foundation has been awarding at-risk high school students with scholarship money for the past 12 years. Simon Youth Foundation Community Scholarships are awarded in partnership with the mall, owned by Simon Property Group.

Locally, students can pick up a copy of a scholarship application at the Simon Guest Services Center at Crystal Mall. Applications also can be downloaded at www.syf.org/our-initiatives/scholarships/community-application or http://www.syf.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/SMS-2013-application.pdf
