Waterford ad agency's two principals staying on as execs after sale to Regan Communications
The Waterford-based marketing firm Quinn & Hary has been sold to the Regan Communications Group, the largest privately held public relations specialist in New England.
Boston-based Regan Communications, which also has offices in New York, Providence, Cape Cod and West Palm Beach, said the local firm's two principals, president David J. Quinn and creative director Pete Hary, will remain in their positions. Quinn said Regan Communications' Hartford office, including former Mohegan Sun public relations manager Saverio Mancini, will be consolidated into his firm's operations at 914 Hartford Turnpike.
"We're delighted they approached us to be their Connecticut partner," Quinn said in a phone interview. He added that Regan Communications' combined staff of 85, including a video unit and public-relations expertise, would allow Quinn & Hary to offer an "additional platform of services" for clients.
"The acquisition of Quinn & Hary expands our reach and potential for growth across Connecticut," said George K. Regan, Jr., Regan Communications founder and chairman, in a statement.
Regan said the acquisition of Quinn & Hary fits in with his company's strategy of "providing a wide range of communications services to companies and organizations across New England."
Quinn said Regan Communications' interest in his firm says a lot about the strength of the eastern Connecticut market and its ability to access important cities along Interstates 95 and 395.
"There's significant action in our part of the state," he said.
