Essex Ed, the region's larger-than-life groundhog, makes his annual appearance on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. in downtown Essex in a parade from Essex Boat Works on Ferry Street to the top of Main Street.
Ed will lead an entourage of antique cars, fire trucks, residents and visitors. The parade is free and open to the public, and spectators are encouraged to bring noisemakers and groundhog gear.
Every year, Essex Ed (right) dons a different costume to acknowledge a special occasion or person. The costume is top-secret until parade day.
How would you rate the president's second-term inaugural speech?
