The tragedy at Newtown last December continues to resonate in heartfelt grace - as it should.
On Friday, area musicians are pitching in with a five-band benefit taking place at the Bank Street Cafe in New London. All proceeds go to the United Way's Sandy Hook School Support Fund care of the Newtown Savings Bank.
Great lineup, too. Taking the stage in order are: T-Ray Taylor (5:30 p.m.), Architect Rufus Band (8 p.m.), Slateface (9 p.m.), the Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute act The Real Scar Tissue (10 p.m.), and, formerly known as Brewzer, Sinner's Inc. (11 p.m.).
