Old Saybrook — State police bomb technicians and with the Old Saybrook Police Department have finished searching the middle school and have deemed the school safe.
The school was evacuated this morning after a written bomb threat was found inside the school.
Lt. Kevin Roche said the note was found around 9:45 a.m. He said students were safely transported to the high school and will remain there for the remainder of the academic day. Buses will pick up students at the high school and take them home.
Roche said the children are safe, but parents may pick up their children if they feel it is necessary.
