CGA to welcome Newtown youth wrestlers on Feb. 6

Coast Guard Academy will welcome the Newtown Youth Wrestling Association on Wednesday, Feb. 6, as the Newtown wrestlers will battle a group from Waterford in a series of exhibition matches prior to the Bears' match against rival Merchant Marine at Merriman Gym.

Coast Guard will honor the 26 victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. One of those victims, Jack Pinto, was a member of the Newtown youth team.

The Newtown wrestlers will have six exhibition matches against Waterford beginning at 5:45 p.m., before the Bears wrestle Merchant Marine at 7 p.m.

Admission for the match is free.
