Steve Femiak, owner of Thames Imports in East Lyme, has joined with auctioneer Jeff Mullen to open the Ocean Auction House, whose first auction will be Saturday at Ocean Beach Park in New London.

Viewing times will run 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the park's arcade building. The auction will start at 2:30 Saturday.

"The time is right for auctions because people are downsizing their stuff," Femiak said.

Antiques, artwork, furniture, estate jewelry, coins, clocks and china will be some of the items offered.

For information, call Mullen at (860) 625-1365 or Femiak at (860) 961-0057.
