4-6 p.m. Mon.-Fri.
13 Water St., Mystic
O fans of the briny, bivalve mollusk, I present to thee a helluva deal. It's the weekday Happy Hour at Mystic's cozy and charming Oyster Club. Here's what to look for: ice-flecked, just-shucked, sweet Noank oysters on the half-shell for a dollar each - washed down with $2 cans of Narragansett beer or $2 off any of the Oyster Club's fine selection of drafts (including local wonders Grey Sail and Cottrell). Note: Happy Hour takes place in the bar area only (or on the deck in fair weather), and the lounge is tiny, so show up early or politely jockey for position. With a terrific and eager staff, it's well worth it.
- RICK KOSTER
Civil liberties groups decry a recently released Justice Department memo that justifies U.S. drone strikes against suspects abroad, including U.S. citizens, without proof of an imminent attack. What do you think of the policy?
