Book Discussioon at Dagmar's Desserts

a book talk, reading and informal discussion with Douglas Knight, author of Balasaraswati: Her Art & Life. Published in 2010 by Wesleyan University Press, this fascinating biography recounts the career of renowned musician and dancer T. Balasaraswati, the turbulent times in which she lived, and her lasting impact on the performing arts of India and the US.
Coffee, tea, and Dagmar’s delicious pastries will be served, providing a relaxed setting for learning and conversation. A copy of Balasaraswati: Her Art & Life is currently on display at Dagmar's Desserts; signed copies may be purchased at the event on April 15.
