Tapestry of Quilts, 2013

Tuesday   TIME:  5:00 pm to 7:30 pm

A retrospective of quilts by Barbara W. Barber, of Westerly, will be displayed at the Hoxie Gallery from January 2 -30.

Barbara’s work is well known in the quilting world. Her work has been displayed and won awards in numerous venues, locally, nationally, and internationally.
The range of the artist’s work is varied; from spiritual, to humorous, to tongue-in-cheek; from tedious and time-consuming hand work to “instant gratification” pieces using fusible techniques. A variety of these extremes will be included.

A special attraction for Harry Potter fans will be the artist’s presentation of seven quilts, one each for the books written by J. K. Rowling.
