Pride of New York Annual Traditional Irish Music Concert

A star-studded concert of the best in Irish Traditional Music will be presented at the Irish American Community Center, 9 Venice Place, East Haven, on Saturday January 5th 2013, at 7:30 PM.

The concert will feature Joanie Madden, the renowned leader of the ‘Cherish the Ladies’ Band, on flute and tin whistle; Brian Conway senior All-Ireland champion on fiddle; Billy McComiskey winner of seven All-Ireland button accordion championships and Brendan Dolan one of the most sought after keyboardists in traditional music today. Combined, they are ‘The Pride of New York’ and have recently produced their first CD as a group.This is a rare and exciting opportunity to hear these four phenomenal traditional musicians playing together. Last year when they visited the Irish club for what has now become an annual affair, their performance brought down the house, the atmosphere was electric, the playing superb and the jokes hilarious.
