Chester Garden Club Kicks-Off New Season

Tuesday   TIME:  7:00 pm to 8:00 pm

The Chester Garden Club will be hosting a presentation on “Rain Gardens” by Michael Dietz, on Tuesday, 3/12/2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the United Church of Chester, 29 West Main Street, Chester, CT. Members of the Chester Garden Club and the public are invited to attend. The cost for guests will be $5.00.
Michael will provide information about why rain gardens are needed, how they work, where to place them, and how to install them. Special focus will be given to rain gardens that have been installed in the local area, and on a recent smartphone app to teach users how to install rain gardens. Dr. Dietz is a Water Resources Educator at the University of Connecticut Cooperative Extension. For additional information, contact Chester Garden Club Co-President Brenda Johnson at (860) 526-2998.
