Shoreline Ringers, a community hand-bell choir, is a tax exempt nonprofit corporation residing in southeastern Connecticut. The group's goal is to support the continued development of the art of handbell ringing, while educating its audiences in the beauty of handbells and increasing their knowledge and appreciation of handbell music through concert performances. The ringers have a variety of ringing experiences and have come together to learn a more advanced repertoire. They ring 5 octaves of handbells and 5 1/2 octaves of hand chimes, highlighting a wide spectrum of techniques and rhythms as they perform a variety of challenging music. The group has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, with the United States Coast Guard Band in New London, CT, and appeared on CBS television.
