22q at the Zoo! Worldwide Awareness Day

This fabulous event is aimed at raising the public awareness of chromosome 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.

22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome is caused by a missing piece or deletion of genetic material on chromosome 22. 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome is a common deletion syndrome that affects 1 in every 2,000-4,000 newborns.
