For NLFD, a day-by-day reprieve
The mayor's office has postponed the layoffs of 25 firefighters in light of a request by union for a court injunction. Chief of Staff Jane Glover said the postponement is "day to day." The 25 were to have been laid off at 5:30 p.m.
