Dave Stone, Arborist with Lindon Tree Service, removes limbs from the 160-year old Weeping Beech tree on the campus of Norwich Free Academy Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Stone, who has been caring for the tree for over ten years says it breaks his heart to have to cut it down. "It's the most sentimental tree I've ever had to take down," he said. Faculty, staff, students and alumni of the school stopped by all morning to watch the work progress. The NFA board agreed Tuesday night that the tree, which dropped a half-ton limb recently, would have to be removed for the safety of those on campus.
