Mike Evans, a UConn PhD student in wildlife biology, Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 pulls a strand of bear hair from the barbed wire of his hair corral he created located in the north end of John A. Minetto State Park located in the Torrington/Goshen area. The samples of hair will undergo DNA analysis giving Evans and his Professor Tracy Rittenhouse information on the state's bear population, numbers, where it's moving, etc.
