Wronowski guide the Virginia-class attack submarine USS California (SSN 781) under the Gold Star Memorial Bridge and up the Thames River on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. The sub was headed from Electric Boat to the Naval Submarine Base at the conclusion of the vessel’s 11-month “post-shakedown availability.” The post-shakedown availability comprises a series of maintenance, repairs, alterations and testing.
