Reid Burdick of Byles funeral home rides with Jim Cherenzia, of Hopkinton, Rhode Island, as Gus, Cherenzia's Percheron draft horse, pulls the casket of Josephine Pollio on a last ride along Pequot Ave. in New London Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Pollio, who died January 30th, loved animals and the view along the waterfront of her native city, included the horse-drawn ride and included directions for the care of the horse in her final arrangements set-up with Burdick 16-years ago.
