Hundreds of residents lined up along Misquamicut State Beach Friday morning for Hands Along the Sands. The event, organized by the Greater Westerly-Pawcatuck Chamber of Commerce, was designed to show that the vital summer tourist destination is up and running after the devastation of Superstorm Sandy last October.
