The WWII era B-17 bomber Memphis Belle flies over Hartford on a flight to showcase the aircraft to local media Monday, August 12, 2013. The aircraft, a post-war model restored to the appearance of the famed bomber that was the first one to complete 25 missions over German territory during the war, will be open for tours and flights this weekend at Brainard Airport in Hartford. The non-profit Liberty Foundation operates the plane to "honor our veterans, educate current and future generations as to the high price of freedom and to preserve our aviation heritage," according to the organization's web site.
