What a night! Two dramatic wins in span of five minutes

 May 17, 2013

If you're a fan of Boston sports last night was a great night.  You've got the Bruins in Game 1 of a playoff series against the New York Rangers winning in overtime with a goal from Brad Marchand. Then you flip to the Red Sox, who were trailing 3-1 in the top of the 9th, and watch a Will Middlebrooks double to put the Sox up 4-3 to come away with a victory. Two wins in dramatic fashion in the span of around 5 minutes.  It was a great night.

After one of the best Aprils in franchise history, it's been a tough May so far for the Red Sox. One of the major differences is the health of the club, most notably the closer position.  Reports out today have Joel Hanrahan done for the season after Tommy John surgery and Andrew Bailey is targeted to return Monday but has health concerns of his own. Hopefully Bailey will return and be back to what we saw earlier in the season as there aren't many other options right now.

Again, it's still too early to get a full grasp on the team but there have been a handful of moments like last night that excite you.  Especially last night. On the road against a very good closer in Fernando Rodney, they found a way to win and it may have been their most dramatic win so far in 2013.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, but so far so good for Sox fans

 April 8, 2013

Let's not get ahead of ourselves by putting the Red Sox in the World Series just yet but through six games over two roads trips with a record of 4-2, they've been better than expected.

It's Opening Day 2013

 April 1, 2013

Red Sox vs. Yankees in the Bronx. While there's always a lot of excitement to start a new year, both of these teams have major issues and injuries and by most "experts" aren't given a shot to make the playoffs let alone the World Series.

With less than three weeks to go until the regular season, the majority of teams throughout Major League Baseball have issues and the Boston Red Sox are definitely one of those teams.

Historically Bad Season Comes To A Close

After the biggest collapse by a team in September in major league history, who would have thought the Red Sox would follow it up with one of the worst full seasons in the history of its franchise?

My take on The Trade
