Sue Menhart and Nancy Parent join musical forces

Maybe you have to be of a certain mindset, but if a music poster hypes "Winter Blues," well, chances are pretty good I'm showing up and expecting to see Johnny throwing down "Memory Pain" and "The Good Love."

It's also pretty tempting to fight the deep-in-February blues when local chanteuses Sue Menhart and Nancy Parent team up Saturday at New London's Bean & Leaf.

Though the two explore many different musical tangents in their respective careers, they've also discovered a distinct and warm harmonic magic when they get together and sing. Could be just the thing for a frosty evening.
