Time lapse: Niantic River Bridge floats into place

A large section of Amtrak's new Niantic River Bridge was floated into place on Monday. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Connecticut Occupational Safety and Health Division, additional engineers for the contractor Cianbro/Middlesex Joint Venture and Amtrak staff gathered at the project site Monday morning to see the engineering feat accomplished.
