Colleen Keenan and Jake St. John are pleased to announce their marriage, which took place on Dec. 10, 2011, at Bill Miller's Castle in Branford. Colleen is the daughter of John and Jenny Keenan of Preston. Jake is the son of Don and Eve St. John of Jewett City.
The bride and groom were well supported by friends and family, especially by the matron of honor, Kristen Chantrell, Colleen's twin sister, and the best man, Zachary St. John, Jake's brother. Bridesmaids were Beth Serra, Jessica Williams, Bridget Anderson, Katie Dodd, Marissa Dickau and Amanda Nicholas. Groomsmen were Michael Mosca, Michael Keemon, Michael Flynn, Barry Keenan and Thomas Chantrell. The couple were married by Rev. Mary Jackson in front of a large, stone fireplace. Colleen wore an ivory dress covered in sparkling lace and a long train. In her hair she had a birdcage veil with ivory feathers. The groom wore a black tuxedo and an ivory fedora. The bridesmaids wore long plum dresses and carried bouquets with varying shades of purple and evergreen. The bride's bouquet had various white and ivory flowers with twigs and small pine cones. The boutonnieres also had twigs and pine cones. The ceremony and reception felt like a winter wonderland, despite the warm, sunny day.
