You can discuss politics, religion and philosophy, but the three most persuasive arguments that ours is a really stupid world are as follows:
1. King Crimson is not in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.
2. Neither is Yes or Rory Gallagher.
3. Not even the Moody Blues have made it!
So it's no surprise to me that we have wars and global warming and no Steak 'n' Shake franchises in southeastern Connecticut. If people aren't smart enough to at least put the Moodies in the R&R Hall, I have no hope for peace.
Fortunately, the core of the band - Justin Hayward, John Lodge and Graeme Edge - keep the unit together and on the road. They appear Friday in the Mohegan Sun Arena, and they can absolutely still bring it. Just for fun, call out some incredible obscurities from their hit-clustered catalog: "It's Up to You," "Are You Sitting Comfortably?," "Candle of Life" and "Watching and Waiting."
