Green Lifestyle Expo at Garde April 19

New London – A Green Lifestyle Expo will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Garde Arts Center, featuring exhibits about green lifestyle resources in New London County and how local residents can become involved in improving the environment and sustainable living.

The event is sponsored by Partners in Healthy Communities and the New London chapter of the NAACP.

Sponsors, vendors and organizations that would like to have displays at the event are being sought. The suggested donation is $100. All proceeds will go to the Garde.

Opening remarks will be given by Mayor Daryl Justin Finizio. James Butler, executive director of the Southeastern Connecticut Counsel of Governments, will give a presentation on the regional plan for conservation and development.
