Jeffrey A. Johnson reports here that so many people turned out in Montville to talk about the budget that they had to shut down the hearing and wait until they can arrange a bigger hall.
The school budget has become one piece of an increasingly difficult budget season for the town. The Board of Education in February voted to adopt a $37.6 million school budget, which was a 2.72 percent increase or about $1 million more than the current budget.
Wait until New London has to find a hall big enough to accommodate all the people who will want to comment about what is shaping up to be an unchecked spending spree funded by an historic tax increase.
