Guilford Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob the Sunshine Daydream store on Monday.

According to police, a white male entered the store at 2941 Boston Post Road around 6:35 p.m. wearing an orange face mask. He ran up to the cash register, jumped the counter, and tried to open the register. The suspect demanded that the employee open the register and began yelling at the cashier give him the money. The suspect put his hand in his pocket as if to indicate a weapon and the employee then grabbed a baseball bat and chased the suspect from the store to a waiting car.

The suspect is described as being about 5' 10" and was wearing light colored pants/shorts, and a white t-shirt. He also had an unknown type of tattoo on his upper right arm. The getaway car is described as an older, reddish/brown Cadillac type vehicle. The tail lights are described as slits and there was a dent in the back of the car. The vehicle was last seen traveling west bound on Boston Post Road toward Branford.

No one was harmed in the incident and no money was taken.

Anyone with information should call Guilford Police at 203-453-8060.
