The UConn Huskies and Washington Huskies have agreed to a two-game series, starting during the 2012-13 season.
The two men’s basketball teams will meet Dec. 29 at either Gampel Pavilion inStorrs or XL Center in Hartford.
The rematch is set for the 2013-14 season in Seattle. No date has been set.
UConn leads the series, 3-0, with all three games on a neutral court.
In the last meeting, UConn won 98-92 in overtime in the 2006 NCAA Washington, D.C., Regional semifinals at the Verizon Center.
UConn posted a dramatic 75-74 win in the 1998 NCAA East regional semifinals in Greensboro, N.C. Richard Hamilton’s buzzer-beating shot was the difference. And the Huskies won 69-48 at the 1998 Great Eight Basketball Classic at the United Center in Chicago.
