President Obama has resorted to class warfare pitting one segment of voters against the other. For a blueprint of this destructive technique voters should read the president of the AFL/CIO Union's propaganda letter,"GOP helping 1 percent instead of the workers" that appeared in The Day April 9. It is a litany of meaningless catch phrases, designed to incite anger, resentment, envy, and distrust among the unwary and uninformed.

The letter writer accuses Republicans of wanting "tax cuts for the super rich." The union president says "pass the Buffett Rule" which will tax the hated 1 percent at 30 percent, even though now that 1 percent pay 73 percent of all income taxes while 49 percent of our citizens pay no income tax at all.

"We must create jobs" he writes, forgetting that his president cancelled the Canadian pipeline which would have created thousands of new jobs.

We must invest in tomorrow's future, he rants. But how can we invest (spend) for tomorrow's future when we cannot pay yesterday's debt ($16 trillion)?

"Let's get back to a government that works for everyone" he states. That will be a government that will control everyone.

How does making the wealthy less wealthy, make the poor less poor?
