East Lyme — Board of Education member Laura Greenstein has resigned from the school board.
In an April 12 letter to the board, Greenstein said she was moving to Waterford after 30 years in East Lyme. A Democrat, Greenstein has served on the board since 2008.
“Working with all of you has been continuously meaningful and ceaselessly inspiring,” she wrote. “Your vision and dedication always encouraged me to strive to do my best.”
Board Chairman Timothy Hagen said the board will seek a replacement, who will serve until Greenstein’s term expires in 2013.
“We will miss the balance and the good judgment that she brought to the board,” Hagen said.
