Government, business must cooperate

In reply to Red Jahncke's April 15 commentary, "Youth, above all, shouldn't cast lot with left," I would suggest a bit of balance.
He knows very well that government and private enterprise are the two main forces of democracy in America. Our country cannot prosper unless these two forces are cooperating.
At the present time this is not the case. Mr. Jahncke knows this, he is a well-educated and experienced man. He knows that America is undergoing hard times.
The reason we are undergoing hard times is because the two powers of American society, government and private enterprise, are not cooperating for the good of all Americans. To continue on such a course is national suicide.
The twin towers of American democracy are private enterprise and government. Without their cooperation we will self-destruct.
