Cushman - Smith

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Cushman of East Lyme are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Abi to Pete Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Smith of Niantic.

Abi earned a bachelor's degree in art history from Tufts University. She owns Brown Bear Creative, a web/graphic design firm in New London.

Pete holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Connecticut and a master's degree in education from the University of New Haven. He is a 7th grade language arts teacher at Old Saybrook Middle School.

The couple are 1999 graduates of East Lyme High School.
