Making NL a daily comedy show no joke

When will New London recover? People read about what is going on and think it is a comedy show. The funds are in question and our mayor buys new furniture. He promises extra pension benefits we cannot afford. He practically gives away a police dog to someone let go for misconduct in our police department. Now he hires a deputy police chief whose credentials do not appear to be the best.

Alfred Mayo was fired before he could begin working. If I were Mayo's mother I would say take them to court and run as fast as you can. Who knows what will happen if you're rehired. Also isn't it strange that a minority was suddenly promoted in the fire deptartment? Was this just to show the department is not racist? I'm not saying he is not deserving, but what took so long to promote him? Was this done because the department is under questioning?

Mr. mayor and staff - get your act together and stop looking like the stooges or Laurel and Hardy. Begin to make us proud. But for now I say, "Shame on all who have been involved in what is looking like a comedy show."
