Last year, I was sent to cover the Whalie Awards, an annual event celebrating New London’s music scene. I saw a lot of acts that night, but one, by far, has stuck with me the most. With Cinco de Mayo a few days away I think it’s an appropriate time to share it with you.
The song is “Tacas and Borritas” by Chumzilla. In a nutshell, this song is about a guy who really likes Taco Bell. It consists of Chumzilla singing off the items on the menu at Taco Bell and describing the ordering process.
Here’s an excerpt of some of the best writing in the song:
He said pull around
Over to the window
He hands me the bag
Right through my window
Two chicken tacas
And four beef borritas
I’m good to go with my tacas and borritas
So if you want to see the song performed for yourself, here’s the link to check it out on YouTube.
