When Ledyard High School's drama club stages "Bye Bye Birdie" this weekend, it will mark the first time in four years that the group has taken on a musical. And it also happens to be the biggest cast it's had: 70 actors in all. Among the performers are 16 adults - parents and school staff members, most notably Principal Lou Gabordi, who is retiring after 38 years working in various capacities in the Ledyard school system. Oh, and he's a Ledyard High grad, too. The curtain goes up on "Bye Bye Birdie" at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday at Ledyard High School, 24 Gallup Hill Road, Ledyard. Tickets are $10 adults, $5 students, $15 preferred seating. Call (860) 464-9600.
