Michael and Karen Cima of Gales Ferry, together with Patrick and Kathi Toepel of Cooeropolis, Calif. are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Michael J. Cima Jr. and Sandy Toepel.

Michael is a 2005 graduate of Johnson & Wales University. Michael earned his associate's degree in culinary and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in food service management. He is currently the general manager at COI Restaurant in San Francisco, Calif.

Sandy is a 2009 graduate of San Francisco State University where she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in communications studies. She also earned her associate's degree in public speaking from the College of Marin. Sandy is currently employed with Trilogy Integrated Resources of San Rafael, Calif. as their client relations manager.

Michael and Sandy currently reside in Sausalito, Calif. A fall 2012 wedding is planned.
