Perhaps the Misquamicut Business Association wishes they'd had their annual SpringFest during the winter, when it was more like summer - as opposed to in May, when it's been like autumn.
Or something like that.
The important stuff, though, is that Misquamicut SpringFest, taking place Friday through Sunday at Misquamicut State Beach in Westerly, has so much going on that we don't worry about the weather. An outdoor international food court! Carnival rides! Vendors! Petting zoo and pony rides! Pirate encampment for kids! Beer and wine garden! Fireworks!
Oh, and plenty of live entertainment including headliners like Roomful of Blues and John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band (Friday), Rick Derringer, John Ford Coley and J. Geils (Saturday), and the Rivergods and Tommy "Brother of Johnny, Really" Cash (Sunday).
